The QST-2002HF is a high-performance engineering test system designed for MR Head characterization at the Head Gimbal Assembly level. It operates under magnetic fields up to 15,000 Oe and features both low and high frequency measurement capabilities. Low frequency tests include Resistance and Transfer Curve analysis, while high frequency tests feature advanced instability detection, including Popcorn, HF Noise, and Spectral Maximum Amplitude Noise (SMAN). Its high range allows for the observation of sensor behaviors under extreme conditions and can reset hard magnetic layers. It supports a variety of applications such as initialization investigation and environmental testing, accommodating stress conditions like 15,000 Oe magnetic fields, 60 mA write current, and elevated temperatures.
